This course aims to conduct empirical archival research in accounting. Students will attain the tools and processes needed to conduct rigorous empirical analysis starting from raw data to the result.
The aim of this course is to familiarize the students with central ideas underpinning research in corporate finance, develop an ability to frame phenomena in terms of existing theory and to bring students to the research frontier in select areas. By the end of the course, students will have a working knowledge of the main tools of corporate finance research and be equipped to begin independent research.
